Missed our first AUA meeting? No worries! When possible, AUA will be recording meetings for members to access on their own time.
We'll also never include your video or audio recordings for your privacy. We'll make sure to edit it out, so no worries about that! To access recordings: Click into our communal drive --> Click into folder 01. Anthropology Undergraduate Association --> Click into folder Meeting Recordings, 2020-21. Our drive also has other resources - feel free to check out the other folders!

With the semester being virtual, AUA recognizes that it may be more difficult to get to know folks in the anthropology community. Therefore, we've launched AUA Cal Pals, an AUA semester program that connects AUA members, anthropology majors, and anthropology minors with each other based on similar classes, interests, and/or experiences!
To sign up to be paired with an AUA member, fill out bit.ly/calpals20 by Friday, September 18th at 11:59pm! You and your "Cal Pal" will be participating with other Pals in a point system to win anthropology merch and gift cards every month this fall semester! Once you are matched up with a Cal Pal, you two can complete challenges for points. In September, the Cal Pal team with the most points by October 1st will receive gift cards/anthropology merch, to be determined by the first AUA meeting on September 14th! Here are the challenges for September: The Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP) opens today and closes on August 31st! Check out the listings for Fall 2020 here: https://urapprojects.berkeley.edu/projects/list.php?category=7 Apply here: https://urap.berkeley.edu/urap-application-0 If you're not sure what URAP is, check out our graphics below explaining what it is and tips for applying! The AUA Officers hope that you, your family, and your friends have been safe during this time. We are releasing a statement to emphasize our support of Black communities everywhere, and especially for our Black anthropologists at Cal. Please check out our statement as we have included resources for Black folks and non-Black folks. We would also appreciate your input on how AUA can support you now and in the future. Please fill out this quick, anonymous survey to give us feedback. Feel free to email us back at auaucberkeley@gmail.com as well. In solidarity, Rosie Ryann Frida Gabby Louis Marilyn ![]()
Please help the AUA board plan the next academic year by filling out our climate survey. The AUA board hopes to foster a closer community by understanding your needs and what the AUA needs to improve. The survey is completely anonymous, and none of the questions are mandatory so you can fill out the areas that is relevant to you.
The board encourages all Anthropology Undergraduates to fill it out - even if they've never attended an AUA meeting before. The link to the form is attached below: |
